Values

Worship
We consider worship a privilege and joy. We choose to worship God with our whole heart when we’re alone and when we’re together.

‘Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.’ Psalm 34: 3

Word
We value God’s powerful, living Word, the Bible. We are committed to giving God’s word first place and final authority in our lives; over every situation, circumstance and relationship.

‘And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’ John 8: 32

Holy Spirit
We thank God for the Holy Spirit, for His leading and His gifts. We trust Him to guide us in all aspects of life, in alignment with God’s Word.

‘He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.’ John 14: 17

Transformation
We are called to be like our Master, Jesus Christ. We recognize that in order to become more like Jesus change is on the cards for all of us!

‘Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.’ Romans 12: 2

Serving
In honour to God (and according to His instructions) we choose to serve Him, our brothers and sisters in Christ and our community.

‘But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.’ Mark 10: 43, 45

Relationships
God has called us to be in relationship with Him and each other. When we prioritize our relationship with him all our other relationships benefit.

‘“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”’ John 13: 34, 35

Joy
We believe the God-life is meant to be a joy-filled life!

‘The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).’ John 10: 10   [Amp]
